why
you should choose us

What's in a name?

When choosing a name, we wanted something that had meaning, was easy to remember, and ultimately that set us apart.

The name Sävy came in two parts; it not only encompasses Savannah's first name, but her last name 'Shades' as well.

Sävy is Finnish for shade or shades, but also means tone.

Sävy Social Co. hopes to set the tone of inclusiveness and professionalism with all of our clients, while providing a fun and social experience that will last a life time.

meet your new bffs

I have been with Savy Social Co. since January 2018 and I am a lead planner & senior event assistant.

My passion is weddings! and this started with my own wedding on July 22, 2017, which was my first wedding to plan, and I fell in love! Every step in this journey was such an accomplishment. The biggest accomplishment of them all was the day it all came together, and all the hard work paid off. Nothing can compare to the joyful experience planning my wedding gave me. That’s when I decided that I wanted to experience this feeling as often as I can for the rest of my life. So, what better way to do that than to become an event planner?!

I have prior event planning experience that helped me tremendously throughout the planning process of my wedding. My experience first started with my high school activities, such as club functions, fundraisers and prom. While attending college at Oklahoma State (Go Pokes!), I directed multiple shows for various organizations, which helped me build and improve many skills needed to be an event planner. I was also on the event planning and fundraising team in my sorority which gave me the opportunity to help plan the largest fundraising event of the year between all the Greek community.

We always hear that we are our own worst critic, so if I can seamlessly make my dream come true, I can help you make your dreams come true! With my time management, organization and people skills, I can make your event one to remember for a lifetime!

I have been a part of the Savy Social Co. team since February 2023 as the Associate Event Assistant. I am a senior at the University of Oklahoma majoring in Marketing and Management.

I am passionate about helping others. I have worked within the nonprofit industry in various roles for the past seven years including helping plan fundraising events on both small and large scales. These experiences pair well with the wedding industry as I am able to not only help provide logistical support, but empathetic support as well to our clients. My favorite part of event planning is seeing our client's reactions to our finished product!

In my free time I enjoy snow skiing, boating, and being with my friends and family.

hello!

I am the owner and lead planner & designer of Savy Social Co. & I am so excited that you are interest in having Sävy Social Co. plan your next event.

This company is a passion of mine and being able to make my clients dreams come true is just one of the reasons why I love this job. My clients become like family to me, no matter how big or small their event may be, and I hope to provide the utmost service & hospitality to them during this exciting time in their lives.

I began my career in event planning back in high school when I served as my school's Student Council President. During my tenure there, I was able to foster new high school traditions that are still happening nearly 15 years later. After high school, I had the pleasure of attending the University of Oklahoma (Boomer!), where I found my true passion in event planning. During college, I was very involved in events through philanthropies like St. Jude Children's Research hospital & through my sorority. I also had the amazing opportunity to plan the entire sorority recruitment experience at OU for over 2,000 sorority women as the Panhellenic Vice President of Recruitment.

Upon graduating college, I knew I wanted to continue a career in event planning and accepted a job at Paycom in Oklahoma City serving as the Human Resources Event Planner. During my time there, I planned monthly luncheons for over 700+ employees, large scale week long employee appreciation events across the country & helped with the company's Year End Party among many other events. This experience allowed me to continue to learn more about events on larger scales along with growing my passion for events.

Though I loved working at Paycom, I knew my passion had a larger calling, which is when I began Savy Social Co. Since the beginning of this company, we have successfully planned and executed many weddings, private parties & philanthropic fundraisers.

My true passion through all of this is to be able to see the joy in my clients faces as their event dreams & plans come to fruition. I hope & am excited to work with you in the future!
